Swingers Club Organizations we need more organization
Post date: 2007-06-03
Since we began our adventure into the Adult Industry, I have found organizations, such as NASCA and Lifestyle.com (same one by the way) that organize events on a world-wide basis for swingers or provide the avenue to list a swing club.
Also there are a growing number of swinger websites on the Internet, which brings me to the point -- there isn't any local chapters for swing organizations/clubs. One thing I have found in the Lifestyle and being a business within it, is that it would be nice if we had a local chapter of NASCA members who can discuss issues, work together to promote workshops and overall gain knowledge together to make the experience of individuals in the Lifestyle better as well as what other associations do -- pull their weight together for better health insurance, incentive programs, better pricing on product purchases and events for example.
In almost every other industry I have run across, there is always an association with local chapters, but not the Adult Industry. If you want support of the organizations, you really have to be based in Southern California (porn capital). So what can I do? Well, I emailed NASCA regarding this issue and still don't have a response. I guess I could start a non-profit Swinger organization with a local chapter, but that seems to be duplicating the already existing ones and a tremendous amount of work and the money to get it going. I never did receive an email back after I asked the question in April 2004. So today, I signed up for the International Lifestyle Association.
However, I seem to be having problems entering the membership side of the system -- hopefully this will be resolved. The ILA offers multiple services to business and individual memberships that NASCA does not offer. They promote themselves as a real trade association. That would mean we can get a local chapter going and get benefits for being a local chapter with an internation organization. I guess we'll wait and see. What do you think? Is it a good idea? Do we need local chapters. Add your comments about Swingers Clubs and Organizations
