Swingers Conventions and Lifestyles Review
Post date: 2007-05-23
Lifestyles Convention for couples in the swingers lifestyle is probably
the worst convention to attend for real lifestyles couples. The
swingers conventions by lifestyles does not seem support the couples
attending the convention and it appears to be more of a take the money
and run sort of group. There are many conventions to choose from these
days, that offer more value for your hard earned dollar.
The swingers conventions list above provides a good list of lifestyle convention you should try not to miss.
Lets examine the lifestyles Conventions in some detail, we attended the
lifestyles convention west in 2004 as lifestyles swingers and as
vendors at the convention. We were told by management of the
"lifestyles convention" that we could not participate in any of the
swingers lifestyle functions or parties because we where vendors. Even
though we held a signed contract in our hand that CLEARLY stated that
we that as vendors we would have access to all functions we wish to
attend, except pre paid dinners.
We were told that we would
have to pay extra convention fee's to attend the lifestyle functions
and parties. Needless to say we where only a little irritated with this
"new" news given to us after the convention started. We consider our
selves open minded and we tend to go with the flow of things. So, we
paid extra to attend the dances etc, the dances where the only thing
that seemed worth attending but not for the price they charged. You
could have gone to a real club and paid a lot less and probably had
just as good of a time.
Lifestyles Convention Parties
We thought the parties would be a blast, so we attended a few to find
out that the parties where too few in number and way over crowded. When
we say crowded I mean standing room only even in the "play rooms",
basically the operated it like this. They ask people or vendors or
clubs to sponsor a hospitality suite, which is not located on any
specific floor or group of rooms. Which means that you must get dress
find another hospitality suite usually located on the opposite side of
the hotel or on a totally different floor. We found this to be an
ignorant way of holding a convention. No one wants to go room hopping
when each time you have to get fully clothed and then go in search of.
In a typical convention they usually close down a half of or full floor
and decorate all the rooms nicely and everyone can get nude and room
hop on that floor. What a novel idea, too bad lifestyles conventions
don't use this approach; it certainly would make it a little bit
better.
Lifestyles Convention Attendees
We where saddened to find out that lifestyles way over boasts their
numbers for attendees, that state they have the largest convention with
over 4000 couples in attendance. However, lifestyles only had about
2000 couples total in attendance. When observing the dance, parties and
pool parties all were occurring at different times with a little over
lap. Seeing that they could only fit about 500 or so into the medicrore
5 or 6 rooms they had open for parties, which left everyone else either
at the dance or pool parties. So, there could have only been a little
over 2000 maximum. As vendors we do counts of people attending the
vendor area, not just stopping by our booth but everyone walking down
the isle way. We got a grand total of 1782 counts, keep in mind there
is a possible 2-10% duplicate count (counting someone more than once).
Then figure not everyone makes it to the vendor area usually about
20-25%, so taking into account what we saw, what we counted there could
have only been 2000-2250 couples maximum.
We also found out that a
fellow vendor, a friend of ours ended up getting in free to all the
swingers parties and events and was invited by the lifestyles
convention owners. Even though he told them he was NOT a swinger in the
lifestyle. He only attended the parties to be polite. We where appalled
by this news, no swinger in their right mind wants to have "outsiders"
attending their party unless they are newbie's checking it out.
Vendors at Lifestyles Conventions
We don't go to swingers conventions to make money and we know we will
in fact loose money at all these conventions. We mainly go to meet
other swingers in the lifestyle, promote our business of course, and do
a little marketing. However, they way vendors are treated by this group
"lifestyles convention" after the contract is signed sealed and
delivered is appalling in and of it's self. We can not recommend them
as business associates or doing business with them in any way shape or
form. They have no problem violating their own contracts to suite their
needs and they way over estimate the number of attendees. These two
factors make them a bad business investment, all we can say is do
business with them at your own risk.
In closing
For
those of you are reading this convention review of lifestyles and
saying to your self, well these people are just mad because they lost
money or something else a long those lines. Then please consider this,
it cost us much more money to attend the Nawlins Convention than the
lifestyles convention and we made more money at the lifestyles
convention than at Nawlins in November but Nawlins in November
lifestyle convention was an absolute pleasure. We are sorry to say that
Lifestyles Convention seems more like a rip off of the consumer than an
actual convention for the fun of meeting true lifestyle swingers. Nawlins in November Lifestyle Convention,
Entice and Orlando / Dallas Interlude are much better run and don't
inflate numbers. They also tend to the swingers lifestyle needs and
desires unlike lifestyles convention.
