San Francisco Fetish Ball Parties

The
Fetish Ball in San Francisco was a fun and interesting event to attend.
Held at the Gift Center on Brannan Street, it was approximately 2000
people dressed up in latex, leather, lingerie, along with a bunny
and gumby to celebrate the alternative choices and deviations from main
stream straight up sex.
Shopping
for the Fetish Ball was an educational experience for Richard and
myself. I already had an outfit consisting of a studded
black leather teddy, leather miniskirt and of course black fishnet
stockings, but Richard needed some appropriate attire so instead of
going to San Francisco like many others, we took a trip to San Jose and
visited Leather Masters. Of course this was also a perfect
opportunity to show off the Bonk'er so we packed it in the car as well
and headed south. Upon arrival at the store, we found Leather Masters a
very nice leather and adult novelty location for a variety of
products. If you want to visit an adult store, we would recommend
this one, clean, big enough, large variety of items, extremely helpful
sales personnel and many upscale products instead of just the standard
cheap products in many other adult stores.
Richard
and I made our way over to the clothing section of the store and began
perusing the racks for him. We looked at leather shorts, chaps,
g-strings, Cod pieces, harnesses and even leather briefs to find the
right thing for him. He first tried the chaps and leather
pants, but found them a little to constricting and adding the cod
pieces a complicated scenerio. I would compare getting into that
outfit close to putting on a corset and stockings. After
discovering that chaps and leather pants weren't right for him, he
tried on several sexy sets of briefs and shorts. He finally
settled on a pair of sexy leather shorts that since he likes going
comando, worked will for him and were comfortable. Then it was a
matter of finding a top for his shorts that would look good and fit
well. He tried on leather tanks, latex tops, leather short
sleeves, vests, but couldn't find the top to suite him so decided to
where his spider mesh top we got last October.
During
his dressing excursion, I spent my time running back and forth from the
clothing racks to the dressing room, taking a little time in between to
show the owners the Bonk'er. While demonstrating it briefly, I
met a couple who had met us at the Exotic Erotic Ball last
October and were also planning to attend the Fetish Ball as well.
The gentleman I spoke with was a little disappointed that we
were not going to be a vendor there with the Bonk'er. For a change, we wanted to just go have fun instead of working at an event.
So,
dressed up (Richard in his BDSM Nerd Outfit and me in my sexy black
leather) headed over to San Francisco for evening and met up with our
friends Jordan (dressed in latex and neoprene) and Tori (hot black
corset and stockings a long with full length latex gloves) for an
evening of enticing erotic outfits, a lot of eye candy and interesting
demonstrations. Upon arrival, the line for general admission was
fairly short and there was a nice variety of assorted outfits and skin
showing. There was a little old man asking every person dressed in
heels where they got their shoes. The same question everytime and
of course he eagerily and nicely complimented every pair of platforms
that walked passed him whether a male, female or trans-gender was
wearing them.
Inside,
the first two floors consisted of the dance floor, bar area, vendor
tables and demonstration areas. The 3rd and 4th floors were
the VIP areas for sex, the 3rd floor for couples who wish to engage in
more aggressive sexual activities and the 4th floor for gay sex.
Although we did not get VIP tickets, we met up with other friends who
did and got a report on the upper level floors, which apparently seemed
to be fairly sparce for activities. This area wasn't really
necessary for a few couples, Richard got an opportunity to
watch a gentleman get a blow job and two couples having sex in a
corner on the main floor. Where was I, -- hmm a bathroom trip
damn!
One of the more interesting areas on the general admission floor consisted a claustrophilia coffin, bondage bed, a fucking machine and a standard love swing (the Bonker
would have been a better choice in that corner). In the
claustrophilia coffin you could watch someone with the camera embeeded
in the top of the coffin. Although this isn't our personal cup of
tea, it was rather interesting to watch. We say a few individuals
try out the bondage bed and the swing, but the fucking machine remained
on its table as an interesting art object.
What
we didn't find at the event, which we thought would be there was a
dungeon and electrophillia area. Additionally, we intially
thought from attending other events, that there would be an erotic
museum and potentially demonstrations on Fellatio. However, since
we could not go up to the VIP area, there might have been a vendor
there demonstrating oral sex techniques as well as BDSM
techniques. Another suprising item missing was someone passing
out condoms. Every other event we have attended including
conventions, and larger erotic forums, there was always someone passing
out free condoms in the general admission areas to continually promote
safe sex.
Since
we had to stay in the general admissions area, we had the opportunity
to watch many of the acts as well. The most remarkable and
provacative was the Apsara Stilt Walkers fire show. During the
course of the event, the Stilt Walkers glided and danced through the
crowd on the main floor and were entralling to watch. The fire
performance was the best act of the evening as they not only gracefully
glided around on stilts, but mezmorized the audience with balls of fire
on ropes and gracefully wanded branches with firing ends while dancing
among each other.
We
danced, drank and had fun. Our overall impression of the event seemed
to be like a rave party, not a sex fest. If you are thinking of
attending an event like this with the focus on a sexual encounter,
Richard and I would suggest other venues, such as conventions, or
club parties. If you want to just go out for an evening of
entertainment and fun, the San Francisco Fetish Ball is priced right
for an event of celebration in sexual variations, not a fuck
fest. With tickets as little as $30.00 a person and no parking
charge down by the Gift Center, we would suggest that the event be
viewed as an evening out for fun and the opportunity to dress up in
fetish garb. Finally, after attending, we may go again another year,
but do not believe it is a quality event for being a vendor.
Since it is only a 4 year old venue, perhaps in time, and with some
changes we might take the Bonk'er sometime.
